About Me

I am a hands-on visual manager, business analyst, and project leader with extensive experience in merchandise presentation. Throughout each of my positions I’ve successfully demonstrated advanced abilities in all phases of design, planning and installation of permanent and temporary store environments including coordinating project teams. My expertise has also been demonstrated in standards training, written corporate communication, and the development of excellent vendor relationships. I am a highly organized team player who enjoys contributing with my knowledge of a wide variety of areas including Interior Design, Space Planning, Graphic Design, and Photography. I am comfortable with both PC and Mac platforms and am skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook.

Visual Merchandising Coordinator
Knotts Berry Farm 2021-Present

Executes as well as creates store decorations and visual merchandising for seasonal, special and promotional events. Maintains store merchandise display and presentations through training and developing Merchandise associates. Acquires, prepares, installs, strikes stores existing and new materials for the stores visual merchandise displays in support of planned designs and projects. Maintain effective communication with employees and management and assist with special projects as assigned.

  • Developed plan for Cordy’s Corner interior displays for it’s remodel in coordination with corporate partners by designing storyboards, sourcing props, acquiring materials, and installation. 
Visual Merchandising Team Leader
Rogers Gardens 2009 - 2020

Collaborated with Creative Director and Buyers to create and maintain merchandise presentations for interior and exterior product displays for optimum sales. Managed installations and merchandise placement teams for interior and exterior displays. Oversaw receiving and placement of products in coordination with Rogers Gardens’ aesthetic. Creatively contributed to on and off-site special events.

  • Trained and organized daily priorities for merchandising team of nine designers.

Visual Presentation Coordinator
Anchor Blue Retail Group 2006 - 2008

Created and implemented visual presentation strategy that combined business priorities from the Merchandising, Distribution, Marketing, and Store Operations Departments into a cohesive, practical plan. Communicated visual presentation strategies via monthly written directives sent out to stores. Maintained daily communication to stores to share news of cancelled merchandise, change in directives, or signage updates. Established merchandising standards. Organized floor plans for various store types. Supported the Marketing Department in special projects and event set-up.

  • Acted as Design and Project Manager for customer lounge area installation at key store locations, including creating floor plans, evaluating displaced merchandise, sourcing and ordering all necessary materials and furniture, and coordinating construction and store personnel.
  • Planned and designed in-store graphics, merchandise set-up, and window presentation for six-week long “2 for $20” promotion; promotion resulted in 247% sales increase compared to the previous year.
  • Concept for “Try Me” station design, including creating the graphics for “Signature by Anchor Blue” fragrance launch; product sold 2035 units in the first two weeks.
  • Activated plans for a renewed merchandising approach, transitioning from mass merchandising to creating lifestyle groupings, through new graphics, fixtures, and store flow plans company-wide, in coordination with all departments including CEO.
